spacious house is located in the Southern Costa Blanca in the area of
Las Filipinas, Villa Martin. The house is situated on a wide residential
street which is very quiet, a 2 minute walk away brings you to the excellent
local amenities of several banks, over a dozen cafes,/pubs/ restaurants
(Spanish, Chinese, Indian,German and English). There are also two local
supermarkets which are of very good quality. Within 1km is a large "Mercadona"
supermarket. It has a private pool, air conditioning and heating and sleeps
The house is equipped with everything you should need whilst on holiday. It has one double and two twin bedrooms, two bathrooms (one full with shower, bath, etc. and one with toilet and vanity unit). It has air conditioning in the lounge and upper two bedrooms ,a safe and a fitted and fully equipped kitchen including washing machine, microwave,fridge,freezer, iron, juicer, and coffee maker. The dining area has seating at the table for six people. The spacious lounge with three large sofas has also a TV showing English channels, a DVD player, Playstation, CD player which are all ideal for relaxation. There are games for the children, books for adults and children, coolbags, ice packs for the beach,and sunshades for the car available for your use. The lounge opens out onto the front porch which captures the evening sun and a good place to have your pre dinner drinks. Upstairs there is two large sun balconies leading off each of the bedrooms. All terraces and balconies are equipped with chairs and tables.
PLEASE NOTE: It may not be suitable for people with walking difficulties due to both the five external steps and internal stairs, although once inside one of the twin bedrooms and the washroom are situated on the lower floor.
The property boasts its own private pool for your exclusive use which is 20ft x 10ft and depth from 3ft gradually increasing to 5ft. This gives you the freedom and privacy to have a dip any time of day without restriction and there is always a chair available to spread your towel on.
This is a very comfortable spacious house well equipped for a relaxing holiday. A very comprehensive information file is available in the house containing all places of interest, local information and maps for use by guests
The house is situated close to the small town of Saint Miguel de Salinas which is reached by driving through its surrounding lemon and orange groves and beautiful countryside to the west. This is becoming a busy and popular town especially on Market day (Wed) when the place comes alive and many a lovely restauraunt can be found down the quaint narrow streets.
The busy and popular commerical centre, La Fuente, is a short drive away with banks, shops, a large super market and a variety of bars and restaurants offering great food and drink day and night.
Also within a short drive is the Zenia Boulevard, the largest shopping centre in Europe which opened on 25 September 2012, Zenia Boulevard has a traditional Mediterranean design, featuring more than 600 trees and 55 different plant species in the various gardens and open spaces which give colour to the shopping centre. Its layout is designed to reflect a typical Spanish village, with various “town squares” such as Plaza London Square or Plaza Mayor linked by “streets” lined with shops of every description.
For the Golfer the house is situated within five minutes of the three championship golf courses of Villa Martin, Las Ramblas and Campoamor and all their amenities. Next to Villa Martin Golf Course is the famous Villa Martin Square with over 30 restaurants to choose from which spill out onto its pretty terraces. The excellent blue flag beaches of La Zenia, Campoamor, Mil Palmeras and coves of Torre de la Horadada are a 5-10 minute drive to the East. The large and vibrant town of Torrevieja is only 15 minutes away to the North and offers a massive range of amenities and Spanish culture from a stroll along the lovely wide prom with its craft stalls, fountains, statues and town squares to a visit to the cinema or crazy golf. Just off the prom is a very popular area for bathing with a natural swimming pool. Approx 10 miles south is the magnificent area of Mar Menor which is an inland sea and a haven for birds incl. flamingos. In this region at Lo Pagan can be found a long broad pier ideal for bird watching and collection of the famous mud retrieved from the waters which contains healing minerals and when rubbed on joints and body parts with arthritic and rheumatic complaints it is reputed to relive all aches and pains - well worth a visit.
The house is located 5 minutes from the AP7 motorway at La Zenia which gives speedy access to many parts of the region. There are many varied places to visit of which we have given a small example.
This is an ideal location for relaxing with everything you need on your doorstep for touring both the coastal region and countryside. The wonderful cities of Murcia, Alicante, Cartegena and Elche are also an acceptable distance away for an excellent and varied day out. For children and adults a day at the Safari Park is a popular visit. Benidorm is 1 hour by car and especially popular with younger visitors who visit the Mundomar Park and Terra Mitica Theme Park and if youve never been before it is worth a look. Airport transfers or car hire can also be arranged on your behalf.
A car makes the region more accessible but we have had several guests who have not taken up this option and found the immediate area meets all their needs. However, there is a taxi rank 100 yds from the front door which will take you where ever you wish or a bus takes you down to the beach(timetable available)
In addition to the rental fees below 70euro per booking is to be paid
locally for cleaning and preparation charge. There is a small charge for
the extra 7th person. Towels are available for use in the house however,
guests are to supply their own towels for beach and pool use
